FAQs

Do your scrub tops have antimicrobial protection?

Yes. Every Gaia Republic scrub top features ARMA Technology, which uses mechanical lysis to physically rupture bacteria and viruses. It delivers 99.9% microbial reduction and lasts 100 washes. It is TGA-registered (ARTG Number 349484).

Can I match scrub tops with Gaia Republic pants?

Of course you can. All tops and pants are available in the same eight colourways, so you can mix and match or create a coordinated uniform. We also offer pre-matched sets for convenience.

Does washing affect the antimicrobial protection in the fabric?

No. ARMA Technology works through mechanical lysis, the fabric physically ruptures bacteria and viruses at a cellular level, rather than relying on a chemical coating that degrades in the wash. Because the protection is structural, not topical, it holds up across repeated laundering. ARMA has been independently tested to 99.9% bacterial and viral reduction across 100 wash cycles. It is also registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG Number 349484).

For best results, machine wash cold or warm (up to 40°C), turn your top inside out, and skip the fabric softener. Softener coats fibres and reduces breathability over time. Tumble dry on low or line dry in shade. That is all it takes.
